About the Firm
Garneau & Hampton Financial Group is a hospitality accounting, controllership, and personal finance education firm. We serve the operators whose numbers got complicated before their confidence did — bar and restaurant owners, delivery-first kitchens, catering companies, and the people building a life around them.
Our story
The firm began with a simple observation: the operators who most need sharp financial guidance are often the ones least served by it. A first-time bar owner discovering that a packed Saturday can still lose money. A restaurant group juggling six delivery apps that never tie back to the bank. A caterer pricing events off instinct.
We built Garneau & Hampton to meet them where they are — with nightly-sales bookkeeping, senior-level controllership, and financial education that treats operators like adults. We don't sell products. We don't take commissions. We do the unglamorous, essential work of getting your numbers right, and we explain what they mean.
The result is a practice that feels less like a vendor and more like the partner you wish you'd hired three years ago.
What we believe
We hold ourselves to a fiduciary standard. Every recommendation we make has to be right for you — even when it earns us nothing. Your goals set the agenda, never ours.
Every figure we hand back to you is reconciled and verified. Hand our work to your lender, your board, or the IRS and walk in confident — because we already checked it twice.
You should never need us to read your own finances. We walk you through what the numbers mean, so your judgment gets sharper every year and you make decisions with conviction.
We flag the issues and opportunities before they become problems. You hear from us first — about a cash-flow gap, a missed deduction, a deadline — not from the IRS or your lender.
Leadership
Managing Partner · MBA
Aimee founded the firm on a conviction she'd seen confirmed too many times: hospitality operators and the people who work alongside them deserve the same caliber of financial infrastructure as the largest restaurant groups — they just rarely get it.
With an MBA and more than a decade in accounting and controllership, Aimee built her career inside the messy middle of growing businesses — reconciling multi-venue restaurant and bar groups, untangling delivery platform payouts, and standing up the close processes that lenders and investors actually trust. She leads client engagements across every practice area personally, from the first discovery call through the monthly review, and oversees the curriculum at The Marcel Academy.
Her approach is simple: get the numbers right, explain them plainly, and never recommend something that isn't in the client's interest. It's why the firm takes no commissions, sells no products, and answers to the people it serves — and only them.
Partner · Operations & Administration
Ryan keeps the firm running so the client work never skips a beat. From onboarding and staffing to deadlines and deliverables, he owns the operational backbone behind every engagement.
His background spans operations management and business administration across hospitality and professional services. Ryan designs the workflows that move a file from intake to monthly close cleanly — the intake routing, the document portal, the review cadence, the reminders that keep nothing slipping. If Aimee leads the numbers, Ryan leads the machine that delivers them on time.
He's also the first point of contact for clients on anything administrative — billing questions, portal access, scheduling, and onboarding. His rule is the same as the firm's: respond fast, follow through, and make the process feel effortless.
Behind every engagement is a team of bookkeepers, staff accountants, and senior controllers who treat your books like their own. We staff each client to the level of complexity their situation demands — and we scale that team up or down as you grow.
A 30-minute discovery call. No pressure, no pitch — just a clear look at where your numbers stand today.
